Tools and Supplies Needed
Mirror or frame
FrogTape brand painter's tape
Latex paint in desired colors
Pencil
Ruler
Paintbrush

Step 1 Clean the surface of the mirror or frame making sure it is dry and free of dust.

Step 2 From the top left hand corner of the mirror, measure 6.5 inches (or desired distance based on your item) to the right and make a small pencil mark.

Step 3 Using a piece of FrogTape, line the left edge of the tape to meet your pencil mark and the bottom left hand corner of the mirror. For accurate placement, adhere tape in short sections to avoid stretching the tape.

Step 4 Again, from the top left hand corner of the mirror, measure 5 inches (or desired distance based on your item) to the right and make a small pencil mark.

Step 5 Using another piece of tape, line the right edge up with your pencil mark and lay it parallel with the first piece of tape.

Step 6 Apply a generous coat of the desired paint color between the two strips of tape.

Step 7 Once the area between the two strips is completely covered, remove tape immediately, slowly pulling upward at a 90-degree angle. Let the paint cure completely before moving onto the next step

Step 8 Take another piece of FrogTape and line the left edge of the tape flush with the left edge of the first color of paint.

Step 9 Using the next paint color, apply an even coat from the edge of the tape to the edges of the mirror.

Step 10 Remove tape, slowly pulling upward at a 90-degree angle. Allow paint to cure completely.
